Case Study 003: ClickWorks

Completion September 2018

To be in the running for this project, our procurement department completed a thorough tender process and their hard work and team work paid off.

We were contracted to supply and install a new passenger hydraulic lift in an existing public teaching building which was under refurbishment at ClickWorks on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce.

Part of St Helens Chamber, Clickworks aims to create a strong digital community, connecting businesses with the resources, skills and talent they need to succeed, whilst providing interactive and supportive space for people in St Helens to improve their digital skills. St Helens Chamber has always been a leader in business innovation, working to enhance the economic success of St Helens businesses and people. In the modern workplace, digital skills are essential and they recognised that there was a need to improve the digital landscape of St Helens. Clickworks has been developed to build the digital capabilities of local businesses and people, and sustain our new digital future and Allied are proud to be a part of it.

The challenges with this project was that the lift shaft was restrictive in dimensions, pit depth required alteration and the existing headroom required extending.

Our solution provided the customer with a smart looking lift, very functional the required finishes and a larger lift floor space than the previous old lift. Site also had no space for a full lift motor room and we used our self-contained MR cabinet solution.

The lift was fully tested and certified with all Operations and Maintenance manuals handed over to the client.
